BERLIN, Feb 27 — German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck today rejected French suggestions that Ukraine could be supported with a deployment of Western troops.
“German soldiers are not going to Ukraine,” he told a news conference.
“I’m glad if France is considering how to support Ukraine more strongly, but if I can make a suggestion, then send more weapons,” he added. “Do what you can do now and give Ukraine the ammunition and tanks that can be sent right now.” — Reuters
