KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 — Twitter boss Elon Musk has announced on Twitter that any user that parodies another user would be “permanently suspended”. He also says that any name change at all “will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark”.
Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended

So, how did we get here? Well, after Elon Musk’s “hostile takeover” of Twitter and making many shocking decisions like firing half of Twitter’s employees and making users pay for Twitter Blue to get a verified check mark, a lot of users were understandably not too happy.
And in classic Twitter community fashion, users have took it upon themselves to make fun of the billionaire by switching their verified check-marked names to “Elon Musk” and tweeted silly things that he could say. However, a lot of them now are no longer visible as they’ve probably been suspended. Comedian Kathy Griffin is also currently suspended for changing her name to Elon Musk.
Now, there are accounts that parody him in a less obvious way. This includes accounts like Evil Elon Musk, Elon Musk’s tiny PP, and Italian Elon Musk.
Twitter needs to become by far the most accurate source of information about the world. That’s our mission.

Previously, Musk has tweeted “legalise comedy” in 2021 and that “comedy is now legal on Twitter” during his Twitter takeover. And during the takeover, Musk also changed his own name on Twitter to “Naughtius Maximus“. — SoyaCincau
