SAN FRANCISCO, March 31 — The social networking platform is allowing users to raise money in relation to six types of spending: education, medical, pet medical, crisis relief, personal emergency, and funeral and loss.

Facebook’s personal fundraising feature will launch in the US and as a beta trial program over the next few weeks, the company’s VP for Social Good said in a news post on March 30, 2017.

“You can share it in a newsfeed and invite friends directly to your fundraiser,” a video explained.

“People can donate in a few taps right on Facebook, and can easily share their fundraiser with their own friends.”

Furthermore, donate buttons, introduced in 2016 for over 750,000 non-profits, will also be made available to use during and after live broadcasts. — AFP-Relaxnews
