ALOR SETAR, Dec 8 ― Kelab Belia Darulaman has welcomed the Kedah Football Association’s (KFA) decision to retain the price of tickets for uncovered seats at the Darulaman Stadium.
Kelab Belia Darulaman president Syed Mohd Johan Rizal Syed Unan Mashri said the decision would benefit the majority of the fans since about 70 per cent of the fans watching matches at the stadium are made up of those in the bracket.
“Tickets sold at RM10 is reasonable and lower compared with other stadiums and we are grateful to the association. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 and almost 70 percent watch matches from the uncovered terrace,” he said in a statement today.
He added that the price increase for tickets at the grandstand and covered seats was justified since the Darulaman Stadium was upgraded at a cost of RM10 million.
“The increase comes with several facilities that has been upgraded for the comfort of fans, including the safety aspects and seats,” he said.
KFA had on Dec 6, announced an increase of between RM4 and RM8 for tickets to watch M-League matches at the Darulaman Stadium, next season.
Prices for covered seats were increased from RM16 to RM20 while grandstand tickets would be sold at RM30 compared with RM22. ― Bernama
