SEOUL, Nov 15 — NewJeans members reassured their fans after delivering an ultimatum to their agency, ADOR, threatening to terminate their exclusive contracts unless certain demands were met — one of the key requests being the reinstatement of former CEO Min Hee-jin.

As reported by The Korea Herald, the group made several demands, including a public apology from the manager of a Hybe subsidiary who had instructed another girl group member to avoid NewJeans’ Hanni; the reinstatement of Min Hee-jin as CEO of ADOR; the removal of content released without their consent; the resolution of an ongoing conflict with director Shin Woo-seok of Dolphin Kidnapping Group; and an audit into company misconduct that led to lost opportunities for NewJeans.

The paper reported the group sent a certified letter to their agency ADOR on Wednesday, giving them 14 days to address their concerns before releasing their statements.

According to The Korea Herald, NewJeans wrote: “We miss the NewJeans that was filled with dreams alongside Min Hee-jin, and the music, performances and new, creative activities we were to show.”

“Just in case, do not worry about us. Everyone has an important stage in their lives and for us, it’s just now. Don’t worry about us when taking the test,” Hanni shared on the fan community app Phoning on Wednesday, which was a day ahead of Korea’s college entrance exam, the Suneung.

“You must have been surprised watching the news but we are okay so do not worry about us. We hope you do your best in your test tomorrow,” Danielle was reported as saying.

The members stated that they would end their exclusive contracts with ADOR if their demands are not fulfilled. ADOR confirmed on Thursday that they had received the letter.

“We have received the certified letter this morning and are currently reviewing it to understand the specific requests. We will do our best to resolve the matter wisely and ensure continued partnership with the artist,” the company told The Korea Herald.
