KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — American celebrity and entrepreneur Paris Hilton today thrilled hundreds of her fans at KL Sogo with a public appearance yesterday evening.
The appearance was in conjunction with the launch of her 30th fragrance called Ruby Rush.
Hundreds had gathered at the mall’s centre court for the 42-year-old celebrity’s arrival and welcomed her with loud cheers.
Some fans brought posters and album covers for an autograph while many sought a selfie with the celebrity.
Hilton thanked the crowd and said she felt thrilled and overwhelmed with the warm welcome.
“I’m so glad to see so many fans here.
“Now I feel like organising a concert in Malaysia.”
KL Sogo deputy chairman Datuk Andrew Lim thanked Hilton for choosing the mall as a venue for the launch of her fragrance.
“We are very thrilled to have you and are grateful to host the launch of your new product in Malaysia.”
A 22-year-old Singaporean fan, Sidney Kwek, said he has been Hilton’s fan since childhood and he came all the way from Singapore just to meet her.
“I skipped school today just for this.
“I’m glad I got an autograph and a selfie with her.”
Prior to Malaysia, Hilton also launched the same fragrance in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
According to the product description on Hilton’s official site, the Ruby Rush fragrance is a combination of juicy cherry, red dahlia and sandalwood notes.
This isn’t Hilton’s first public appearance in Malaysia.
She was here in January 2015, to perform at an event called The Party of The Century in conjunction with the soft launch of the Empire City project in Damansara Perdana, Petaling Jaya.
Hilton then returned here in October 2015 to launch her limited edition fragrance.
