KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 — Celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman has drawn the ire of social media users for being active on social media while performing the Haj.

The 36-year-old left for the Holy Land last week with his family but being at Mecca in Saudi Arabia hasn’t slowed him down with his constant updates.

Aliff Syukri also managed to sneak in a post reminding a debtor to return money owed to him.

This prompted his followers to advise him to leave social media and concentrate on performing the Haj.

Instagram user with the handle anneymikayla pointed out that Aliff Syukri just arrived but was busy thinking of money.

The user said Aliff Syukri should instead concentrate on performing his religious duties.

“Once that is settled and upon returning to Malaysia then only settle matters related to people.”

“It is a waste to have set foot there but the mind has gone somewhere else,” the user added.

Some followers were more accommodating when they defended Aliff Syukri’s postings and pointed out that it was the work of his assistants.
