KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — South Korean singer Choi Sung-bong was found at his home in Seoul this morning, according to local authorities.

Police will conduct an investigation into the circumstances that led to his unfortunate passing as the cause of his death remains unknown, Allkpop reported

This comes after the singer posted a distressing last message on his YouTube channel’s community page yesterday.

Choi had apologised to the people who suffered because of his ‘foolishness’ and said he had repaid any donations his fans sent to him in the past two years.

The 33-year-old made his debut in the talent show Korea’s Got Talent where he moved viewers with his motivational story.

Choi’s journey of being a runaway orphan who had to work hard while pursuing his dream of singing touched audiences and led to him becoming a runner-up.

In 2020, Choi claimed that he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer, and hypothyroidism and received financial support from his fans.

A year late however, the singer admitted that he had faked his cancer to get money from his fans.
