KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 — Popular British band Coldplay is set for a four stadium show dates in Singapore for January 2024.

Concert organiser Live Nation announced that the band will perform at Singapore’s National Stadium on January 23, 24, 26 and 27 next year.

It will also be the first music act to play four nights at the venue.

The group last performed in Singapore in 2017, where they feted fans to two nights at the same venue.

The announcement came days after Live Nation Singapore uploaded teasers of Coldplay’s tour on digital screens in Singapore.

Ticket sales will commence on Jun 20 from 2pm via Ticketmaster with ticket prices starting from S$68 (RM234), excluding booking fees.

The concert will be part of the second Asian leg of Coldplay’s Music of The Spheres World Tour which will also include Manila and Bangkok on January 19 and February 3 respectively.

The Grammy-winning rock band will host their debut concert in Malaysia for a one-night-only performance on November 22 at Stadium Bukit Jalil.

The ticket sales, however, sparked frustration among Malaysian fans who were unable to book a spot at the concert when the sale began on May 17, with tickets sold out in less than three hours.

Many also expressed uproar after seeing scalpers re-selling the tickets online for a much higher price than the actual ticket rates.

Disappointed fans then took to social media to request an additional concert date from the band after facing difficulties in securing tickets for the performance.

Their Music Of The Spheres World Tour has sold over seven million tickets and earned the band the Favourite Touring Artist award at the 2022 American Music Awards.
