KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 — American actress and wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow is clearly not done talking about sex.
Three years ago, she gave us a candle that smells like her private part, which sold out within hours of its launch on her lifestyle brand website Goop.
Now, she’s launched Goopsex on Instagram, a social media channel for those who want to further their education on sexuality.
Described as a space for the pursuit of pleasure, it offers the chance to learn everything about sex, from toys to how to reignite intimacy in a relationship.
Announcing the launch, Paltrow, 50, said: “Something we believe at Goop is that true fulfilment comes from really knowing yourself and feeling comfortable enough to show up in the world and in your relationships as your whole self.
“An important pillar of this is how we feel about our sexuality. We created a new Instagram channel for those of us who want to further our education in this area: @goopsex.”
The Iron Man star, who launched Goop as a wellness and lifestyle newsletter in 2008, is known for her new-age treatments and pseudo-scientific advice.
Some controversial trends included vagina steaming, yoni eggs and coffee enemas.
In 2021, she fronted a Netflix show, Sex, Love and Goop, which saw the actress helping couples who wanted to spice up their sex lives and achieve more intimacy.
Paltrow married television producer Brad Falchuk in 2018 after splitting from Coldplay singer Chris Martin, with whom she has two children.
Goop, which has an estimated value of US$200 million (RM1.1 billion) sells sex paraphernalia on its online shop, with the most expensive being the 24-carat gold plated Gold Wand, called ‘the Cadillac of sex toys’.
