KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Despite nursing a throat infection, Queen of Mandopop A-Mei managed to complete all of her 10 concerts in Taiwan.

According to her manager Isaac Chen, the 50-year-old's health problem started as she entered the eighth day of her concert in Kaohsiung.

Star.setn.com quoted Chen as saying that A-Mei's condition was so bad on that day, she suffered from palpitations.

Chen said the production team tried to remove the song Gu Dan Tequila which they felt would be too taxing on her vocal chord but the singer went ahead to perform it.

A-Mei kept apologising to her fans during the concert for not giving her optimum performance, Cna.com reported

At one point, she even asked concert goers whether they wanted to come back on another day as she felt sorry for them.

After this Kaohsiung concert, A-Mei would be taking a two-month break before resuming her tour, starting with Singapore in July.

She would also be performing in Malaysia at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil on August 26.
