KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 31 — It’s a look that few can pull off, much less want to be seen in.

That didn't stop celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri from trying, causing a backlash in response to what he wore in his latest teaser video — a super skin-tight baju Melayu which appeared to be a spandex jumpsuit.

The 18-second clip uploaded on his Instagram account yesterday was to tease his new song Cak Cun Cak Raya.

"Make way for the No.1 trending Raya song four years in a row,” he posted.

"May this Raya song give a festive ray of happiness to all of you to celebrate Hari Raya that will be here soon ... from the No.1 artiste of Malaysia.”

Instead of his new song however, all people could talk about was his 'creative' take on the baju Melayu.

The outfit, which looked like a body suit matched with a songkok and flamboyant sampin, did not go down well with the public.

"Are we anticipating floods this Raya, Datuk?” asked an Instagram user. "You look like you’re on standby for a swim.”

"It makes you look like a Power Ranger,” said another.

"As soon as Raya approaches, you get mental health problems,” said a third.

This is not the first time the cosmetics mogul has landed into trouble for his music video.

Last year, Aliff Syukri was charged with four counts of posting offensive material on his Instagram account for his Kelepok Raya music video, at the Sessions Court in Selangor.

He pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
