KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 — A family member of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson says Chris Rock deserved the slap from Will Smith.
Taj Jackson, who is Micheal’s nephew, accused Rock of using his family as a punching bag for his career.
“Chris Rock has used my family as punching bags for his entire career. Yet I am supposed to feel bad for him getting slapped and humiliated on the Oscars,” Taj tweeted.
He questioned what his family did to Rock to warrant these decades of harassment and constant bullying disguised as jokes.
“Just because you were bullied early on in life doesn’t give you the excuse to bully others now,” he said, thanking Smith for the outburst.
During the airing of Rock’s Netflix special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, the comedian compared Michael to sexual predator R. Kelly due to previous sex abuse accusations against the Thriller singer, Daily Mail reported.
While Michael was cleared of molesting a 13-year-old boy in 2005, Kelly was convicted in September for sexually abusing his 14-year-old goddaughter and other girls and filming their sex acts.
