Blinks are also seen filling up LRT stations especially the Sri Petaling line heading towards Bukit Jalil.
For Shu, 20, she was in line to get in since 2.30pm and admitted that she was nervous for the concert as it was her first ever concert and she was heads over heels over seeing her idols on the big stage.
“Another reason I’m a bit nervous because I came all the way from Kelantan. Me and my parents came here on March 2 and we’re currently staying in Cheras.
“I’ve also made new friends while waiting in line. The girl next to me is from Sabah and we’re both excited to catch Blackpink!” Shu said.
Linda and her husband who came from Subang Jaya, was accompanying their 16-year-old daughter for the Born Pink World Tour concert.
Linda said that the parking lot was already packed, causing them to walk for some time to reach the stadium.
“The traffic is not so bad, but there’s nowhere to park. Everywhere is already full and the police have closed down some entrances..
“We parked outside and walked about 1.4 kilometres to get here,” Linda said.
TS and his group of friends were at the stadium since 10am just to avoid traffic and to buy the official merchandise.
He added that even though he came here via Grab car, the driver refused to drop them inside the stadium as it was already packed.
“10am is still normal for us, some hardcore fans even came as early as 7am. They were already here when we arrived.
“The Grab driver dropped us at the LRT station.
“I queued for around an hour-and-a-half for the merchandise and when I reached the front, most of the merch were sold out already.
TS added that he managed to get two official Blackpink T-shirts at the booth.
“We will keep rocking out even though if there is rain tonight. We’ve already spent so much just to be here, we will make the most out of it,” he said.
Meanwhile, concertgoer, Alif, hopes that tonight will be a memorable show for him as it was his second time attending a live concert.
He has also dressed up fabulously for the occasion.
“Basically, my outerwear is a Chinese limited edition outerwear by Behati and I pair it off with H&M’s shirt and pants.
“We are so excited for this as I’ve only watched them online all this while, I’ve watched their show in Bangkok and Singapore and I can’t wait for what’s in store tonight,” Alif said.
Aside from a sea of Blinks, the stadium was also filled with merchandise booths as well as emergency response team such as police, medic team and the Rela personnel.
