KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 — Reigning Queen of Pop Madonna is speculated to be having a 40th anniversary greatest hits tour.

Sources told The Sun that the 64-year-old Like a Virgin singer was itching to get back on the road after her Madame X tour in 2020.

2023 will mark 40 years since Madonna first joined the US Billboard Hot 100 charts with Holiday in 1983.

Madonna will reportedly reveal the dates of the tour in a few weeks after booking the O2 Arena in London for multiple shows.

Meanwhile, she has also held creative meetings with fellow collaborator since 2001, American director Jamie King, on the vision for her new tour.

“Madonna is trying something completely new — and really giving fans, young and old, what they want,” the source revealed.

“She wants to capitalise on tracks like Frozen and Material Girl popping off on TikTok, and introduce her back catalogue to an entirely new generation.”

“Previously she has always wanted to be forward-facing and focus on whatever new album she’s plugging. But now, in her mid-sixties, she is going back to basics and once again reinventing herself.”

The source reassured die-hard fans that the concerts will be ‘no holds barred and suitably risqué.

Madonna last toured on stage during her Madame X tour from 2019 to 2020, performing in 75 theatres around the world.

However, she cancelled multiple shows due to persisting hip and knee injuries.
