KUALA LUMPUR, December 15 —Popular 90’s local alternative rock band frontman Radhi OAG has revealed that he is currently dating a 21-year-old university student.
The 45-year-old singer was reported by Kosmo! to have begun dating the student for two years and is now entering the ‘serious’ phase of the relationship.
Radhi, or his real name Muhammad Radhi Razali, said he hoped that their relationship would blossom into his third marriage.
He, however, still wants his partner to focus on her studies at the moment.
He said that his new girlfriend doesn’t have any social media presence and her ‘cool’ attitude was what he had been searching for.
"What I can share is that she knows me from A to Z. How she associates herself and how she speaks, she knows what to do and what to avoid.
"Although, I like to point out that these are all just plans. The most important thing to me is that she needs to focus on her studies first and I can work on fixing myself,” Radhi said.
On his ongoing court case, where he faces charges for assaulting his ex-wife, Radhi said these will resume on February 14, 2023.
"I have requested her to pull the case out because I don’t want to keep on fighting. Whatever that has happened, I’ve already forgiven her and I hope she can forgive me.
"If she insists on taking it to court, I accept and hope that everything will be settled then. I take all of these as a test from Allah.”
Radhi was charged by the Petaling Jaya’s Magistrate Court for assaulting his ex-wife at a parking lot near Kota Damansara on April 19.
The Petaling Jaya district police chief, Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid told New Straits Times that the two had gotten into an argument in the carpark of the singer's home where Radhi had allegedly assaulted his ex-wife after she refused to take a picture with him.
Radhi formed OAG back in 1992 with close friends and the band was known for famous hits such as Akustatik, 60’s TV and Generasiku.
OAG will also be playing an anniversary concert at Stadium Melawati, Shah Alam this December 25 to celebrate their 30 years involvement in the music industry.
