KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 — Malaysia’s Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh is on a roll.

After being anointed Time magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2022’ in May, she is capping the year with the title Icon of the Year 2022.

Making her debut in Hong Kong action films in the mid-80s, the Ipoh-born actress went on to star alongside Jet Li in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, flung herself onto a moving car driven by Jackie Chan in Supercop and jumped off a skyscraper with Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies, Time reported.

The 60-year-old also had major roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha and Crazy Rich Asians.

She’s done Marvel, Star Trek, Kung Fu Panda, Minions, Avatar, Transformers with The Witcher to be aired soon.

Taking to her Instagram, Yeoh thanked the magazine for the title.

“I am blessed,” she wrote.

Stars like Simu Liu, Charlize Theron and James Gunn also congratulated Yeoh on the title.

The magazine also named K-pop group Blackpink as Entertainer of the Year and baseball player Aaron Judge as Athlete of the Year.
