LOS ANGELES, Oct 25 — Pharrell Williams has released two new songs off the soundtrack of the upcoming film Hidden Figures starring Empire actress Taraji P. Henson.
Pharrell serves as a producer and songwriter for the film which tells the untold true story of Katherine Johnson (Henson) an African-American woman and brilliant mathematician, whose calculations helped the US catch up in the international Space Race and send astronaut John Glenn into orbit in 1962.
Johnson was aided by Dorothy Vaughan, played by Octavia Spencer and Mary Jackson, played by Janelle Monae.
Pharrell shared Surrender, a collaboration with singer Lalah Hathaway, and Runnin’.
