CALIFORNIA, Oct 30 — The popular HBO show is finally on its way to the big screen, according to the show's creator, Doug Ellin.

Ellin used his Twitter account (@mrdougellin) to share the news with fans. “It's a Go. Love You All,” he wrote, adding a photo of the cast of “Entourage,” which ran for eight seasons on HBO starting in 2004.

The announcement, which comes after five years of development efforts, suggests that the ongoing salary negotiations for the project have finally been resolved. The Hollywood trade press reported that some of the cast members were holding out for a better deal.

Three years after the show's last episode was aired on HBO, Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven and Kevin Connolly will finally return to the characters they played on “Entourage,” which followed the Hollywood adventures of a young actor, Vincent Chase, and his loyal buddies. The premise was loosely based on the life of Mark Wahlberg, who co-produced the show and will take on the same title for the film adaptation.
