SHAH ALAM, Sept 19 — Malaysians are now on the right track in terms of their financial health despite having to deal with post-pandemic challenges, said CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd chief executive officer, Eric Chin.

He said Malaysia’s CTOS consumer credit report showed a positive improvement over the past three years, with the average score rising from 663 to 678.

“The higher the score for an individual, the better the chance to obtain a loan,” he said in a media briefing after the signing of a collaboration agreement between Kekal Impian Sdn Bhd and CTOS Data Systems today.

Meanwhile, CTOS Digital Bhd group executive officer Eric Hamburger said the credit reporting agency aims to achieve 3.3 million registered users by year-end.

He said that the company currently has about three million active users, checking their credit scores, loan eligibility as well as managing their finances.

He added that the target was set in view of the rising financial literacy rate among Malaysians, making them more aware of their credit transactions as well as financial scores. — Bernama
