KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 ― Soon to be a FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI-linked counter, Westports Holdings Bhd saw its share price move up modestly in early trade today.
At 10.10am, the counter rose five sen or 1.3 per cent to RM3.83 with 251,400 million shares transacted.
Yesterday, it was reported Westports would replace Inari Amertron Bhd, which will be included in the FBM Mid 70 Index.
Inari Amertron increased one sen to RM2.49.
There will also be six other new constituents in the FBM Mid 70 index, namely Berjaya Corp Bhd, which increased half-a-sen to 28.5 sen, Gas Malaysia Bhd rose three sen to RM3.08, ITMAX System Bhd and Velesto Energy Bhd, which were flat at RM1.40 and 23 sen respectively, Mah Sing Group Bhd added half-a sen to 59.5 sen, and TSH Resources Bhd lost half-a-sen to 93 sen.
The FBM KLCI reserve list, comprising the five highest-ranking non-constituents of the index by market capitalisation, will be Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (+14 sen to RM25.54), Gamuda Bhd (+two sen to RM4.28), Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (-eight sen to RM6.85), TIME Dotcom Bhd (+three sen to RM5.36) and Top Glove Corp Bhd flat at RM1.13.
All constituent changes will take effect at the start of trading on June 19, 2023. ― Bernama
