KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 — Construction company Haily Group Bhd has secured a RM37.85 million contract to build commercial properties for the Crest@Austin development in Johor.
Haily told the stock exchange that its wholly-owned unit, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd, today accepted a letter of award from RDC Arkitek Sdn Bhd, on behalf of Austin Senibong Development Sdn Bhd, for the construction of 77 units of three-storey shop offices and three units of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) sub-stations in Bandar Jaya Putra, Johor Baru.
In a separate statement, the group said that with the latest award, Haily’s total contract value has increased to RM631.16 million, allowing the group to kick off the year 2023 on a strong footing.
Founder and executive director See Tin Hai said in a span of less than a month, the company has won two major contracts, namely a RM52.30 million contract from Mah Sing Group Bhd’s subsidiary and this latest award from Austin Senibong.
“This shows that the group is well positioned to ride on the industry growth, as the property sector sees a stable recovery,” he said.
Listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in July 2021, Haily is principally a main contractor involved in constructing residential and non-residential buildings in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia, particularly Johor. — Bernama
