SEREMBAN, Oct 20 — Police have recorded statements from 18 individuals to assist in investigations into the death of an officer of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), who was found dead at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) quarters in Nilai last Thursday.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the investigation paper would be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor in the near future.

“The suspect, who is the victim’s husband and is in his 30s, remains in remand until October 22 to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

“Checks also revealed that the man has 16 previous criminal and drug-related records,” he told Bernama here today.

Alzafny said the post-mortem found that the woman died from pressure applied to her neck. The examination also found three stab wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon, two to the abdomen and one to the right cheek.

The victim, who was in her 30s, was found dead after she was believed to have been stabbed by her husband at the quarters, reportedly following a misunderstanding.

Police received a report on the incident at 9.30pm after the victim’s husband turned himself in at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi police station in Sepang, Selangor, and reported the death. — Bernama
