KUANTAN, July 19 — The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, today presented a donation to the family of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah.

In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, His Royal Highness’ son, Tengku Panglima Raja Brigadier General Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, handed over the donation to Nur Farah Kartini’s family during a visit to her sister-in-law’s residence in Kampung Nyiur Manis, Pekan, near here.

“Tengku Amir Nasser, who arrived at 11 am, spent about half an hour meeting Nur Farah Kartini’s mother, Puan Salmah Abdullah and other family members before presenting the donation,” read the post.

Tengku Amir Nasser also conveyed his condolences and expressed hope that the mother and all members of Nur Farah Kartini’s family would remain patient in facing this ordeal.

Also present was the Comptroller of the Royal Household of the Sultan of Pahang, Major General Datuk Mohamed Zahari Yahya.

Nur Farah Kartini’s remains were laid to rest at the Kampung Nyiur Manis Cemetery, Pekan, at 5.20 pm yesterday.

The body of Nur Farah Kartini, 25, who had been reported missing since July 10, was discovered in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, around 6 pm on July 15.

Following that, a 26-year-old man, who is also a policeman stationed in Perak, was arrested and remanded until July 22 to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
