KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — The Ancom Crop Care Penang scholarship programme announced it is opening for applications from July 16 to October 7, 2024.

To qualify, students must have been born in Penang and currently pursuing degree courses (other than medicine and dentistry) in local government or private universities.

Those who have not received offer letters may also apply by using their STPM or A-Level results.

University students in their second, third and final years are also eligible to apply.

Successful applications will receive a maximum of RM10,000 each for tuition fees over their course duration.

Last year, 14 students qualified for the scholarship, which was conferred at an award ceremony officiated by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in January this year.

Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of public-listed Ancom Nylex Berhad, launched the programme for Penang-born students who are from financially underprivileged families in May 2023.
