“The repatriations are conducted by air, land and sea,” Hajiji said in a written reply to PAS assemblyman, Dr Aliakbar Gulasan, who asked about the number of undocumented immigrants in Sabah, during an oral question session at the state assembly sitting in August, which Aliakbar shared on his Facebook account today.
Hajiji said that there are 3,115 detainees from the Philippines still placed in the Immigration depots, followed by Indonesia (700), Pakistan (six), Vietnam (five), India (two), Thailand (one), while 10 others are stateless individuals.
He said that the number of foreigners who passed through the gazetted entry points in Sabah, whether by air, sea or land, for the first six months of this year, was 288,286 through international routes and more than 1.95 million through domestic routes. — Bernama
