KLANG, Aug 21 — All 10 of the assemblymen that make up the Selangor state executive council (exco) have been sworn in today.
According to the Selangor Menteri Besar's Office, four of them are from DAP, three are from PKR, two from Amanah and one from Umno.
The assemblymen from DAP are Ng Suee Lim (N04 Sekinchan), Ng Sze Han (N30 Kinrara), Jamaliah Jamaluddin (N36 Bandar Utama), and Papparaidu Veraman (N52 Banting).
PKR is represented by Fahmi Ngah (N32 Seri Setia), Najwan Halimi (N40 Kota Anggerik), and Borhan Aman Shah (N54 Tanjung Sepat).
Amanah’s assemblymen are Izham Hashim (N21 Pandan Indah) and Anfaal Saari (N15 Taman Templer) while Rizam Ismail (N01 Sungai Air Tawar) is from Umno.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) won 32 out of Selangor’s 56 seats while Barisan Nasional (BN) won two. This gave PH a simple majority with which to form the state government.
The six states of Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Penang held their state elections earlier this month as they did not dissolve their state assemblies along with Parliament for the 15th general election last year.
