KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — Mahanum Ismail, 67, the mother of the late Shahrul Kamal Roslan, the pilot of the ill-fated plane that crashed on the Guthrie Highway near Bandar Elmina in Shah Alam on Thursday, described her son as a very kind and polite person.
Mahanum said her son would always turn to her whenever he had problems.
When met after the funeral at the Kampung Klang Gate Muslim cemetery in Hulu Klang today, Mahanum also expressed her gratitude to all those who assisted in the funeral arrangements for her late son.
Meanwhile, Shahrul Kamal’s father-in-law Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim described him as a well-mannered man.
“He was a good man and a good friend,” said Syed Mohamed who is Johor Corporation (JCorp) president and chief executive officer.
Shahrul Kamal is survived by his wife and four sons aged between three and 12. — Bernama
