KLANG, Aug 13 — Yes, it’s official.

Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has confirmed that Monday, August 14, will be a special public holiday for the state after having previously announced that it would happen if the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) pact wins the state election.

“(Monday) Holiday? Definitely,” he said to loud cheers from those attending his press conference at Wyndham Acmar Hotel here.

The six states of Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Penang held their state elections yesterday as they did not dissolve their state assemblies along with Parliament for the 15th general election last year.
