SEREMBAN, Aug 13 — Barisan Nasional (BN) deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has retained his Rantau seat in the state elections yesterday, with a 10,280-vote majority.
Based on the results released by the Election Commission, the defence minister garnered 16,957 votes, defeating Perikatan Nasional candidate who is also Rembau PAS deputy president Rozmal Malakan, who obtained 6,677 votes.
The Rembau Member of Parliament, who was the Negeri Sembilan menteri besar from 2004 to 2018, has held the Rantau state seat since 2004. — Bernama
