GEORGE TOWN, Aug 12 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) is set to retain Penang with its unity coalition partner, Barisan Nasional (BN), by retaining more than two-thirds of the seats, according to unofficial results.

As of 8pm, PH incumbent in Bayan Lepas Azrul Mahathir Aziz has defeated Gerakan President Datuk Dominic Lau in the Bayan Lepas seat.

The PH-BN unity coalition is now leading in 29 out of the 40 state seats in Penang.

PH is leading in 25 of the seats while BN is leading in two out of the six seats it contested, such as Bertam and Sungai Acheh.

Meanwhile, Perikatan Nasional is leading in at least six seats.
