GEORGE TOWN, Aug 10 — Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said Perikatan Nasional (PN) is leading in Negeri Sembilan and Penang in the run-up to the state polls on Saturday.
He said they will make a clean sweep of Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
“Penang, previously, we would say it’s 50-50 chance, but now, we are leading,” he said during a ceramah kelompok in Kampung Masjid, Bayan Lepas here.
As for Selangor, he said PN will win 34 seats, while the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) unity coalition will win 22 seats.
He said many of the young voters have switched over to PN and will vote for the coalition in all these states.
He said Umno was already sidelined in the unity coalition in the Penang state election.
“They lost even before the polls have begun because they were only given six seats out of the 40,” he said.
He told Umno supporters to support PN to show their displeasure over being sidelined by PH.
He said MIC and MCA were also sidelined in the unity coalition.
“If MIC and MCA have any self-respect, they should not vote for PH-BN but for PN,” he said.
Meanwhile, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia vice-president Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee said PN is an inclusive coalition unlike what was claimed by its political opponents.
“The inclusivity of PN has existed from the beginning and includes Bumiputera from Sabah and Sarawak,” he said.
He said the coalition is inclusive of all races and that its political opponents are using a false narrative against them.
