KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has changed the route names for the GOKL bus service from colours to numbers beginning August 1.

DBKL in a public notice today, informed that the change involved 14 routes to make it easier for passengers to remember, because the colours were seen to be complicated and confusing.

“However, the colour will be retained at the end of the route name for the time being to avoid confusion,” read the notice.

The Green Line which involves the route from KLCC to Bukit Bintang has been changed to GOKL 01; Purple Line (Pasar Seni Hub-Bukit Bintang) to GOKL 02; Red Line (Titiwangsa Hub-KL Sentral to GOKL 03 and Blue Line (Titiwangsa Hub-Bukit Bintang) to GOKL 04.

In addition, the Orange Line (Titiwangsa Hub-Mindef) is now called GOKL 05; Pink Line (Pantai Ria PPR–Universiti LRT) GOKL 06; Turquoise Line (Dato’ Keramat LRT-Kelumpuk Bambu at Setiawangsa) GOKL 07; Maroon Line (Kampung Batu LRT-Chow Kit) GOKL 08 and Brown Line (Sri Rampai LRT-Section 10 Wangsa Maju) GOKL 09.

The other routes are Parrot Green Line (Maluri Terminal-Bandar Sri Permaisuri) changed to GOKL 10; Gray Line (Maluri LRT-Bandar Tun Razak) to GOKL 11; Cream Line (Taman Fadason-Sri Delima MRT) to GOKL 12, Magenta Line (Jinjang MRT-Matrade) to GOKL 13 and the newest line from Muhibbah Community Complex to Pinggiran Bukit Jalil PPR is called GOKL 14.

As such, GOKL bus users are encouraged to download and use the GOKL application for the latest information or announcements on the bus service. — Bernama
