TUMPAT, June 17 — The unity government through the Ministry of Economy has approved 436 projects and programmes for implementation under the Third Rolling Plan of the 12 Malaysia Plan (12MP) for Kelantan.

Kelantan State Development Action Council (MTPNg) joint chairman Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the total encompassed an allocation of RM2.57 billion for the implementation of approved projects.

“A total of 436 projects and programmes involved an overall allocation of RM22.17 billion,” he told a media conference after visiting the Sungai Kelantan Integrated River Basin Development Project (PLSB) in Teluk Renjuna here today.

During the visit, Nik Nazmi also handed an allocation under the Mesra Rakyat project amounting to RM30,000 for the maintenance of Teluk Renjuna Health Clinic and RM30,000 to repair the roof of Teluk Renjuna Mosque.

Commenting further, Nik Nazmi who is also the Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change said for the district of Tumpat, a sum of RM88.82 million was approved for 23 projects with the overall development cost totalling RM1.04 billion.

“Seven new projects were approved for this district with an overall cost of RM240.4 million,” he said. — Bernama
