SHAH ALAM, June 8 — DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke today said that seat negotiations involving his party are still ongoing for the upcoming Selangor state elections.
Loke said that he is not involved in the negotiations and that the current negotiation process was “normal”.
“I think you can ask Gobind about that,” Loke told reporters when met after a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing event to enhance collaboration against corruption among the Port Klang Authority, government agencies, and maritime stakeholders at the DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City hotel.
He was referring to DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo, who is also the Selangor DAP chairman.
On Sunday, Selangor Menteri Besar and state Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) have reached an agreement on 49 out of the 56 state seats to be contested in the upcoming Selangor state election.
Earlier in April, Loke had said that DAP will not shift from its stance the party wants to defend the state seats that its members are an incumbent in.
