PUTRAJAYA, April 12 — National car manufacturer Proton launched its Rahmah Campaign today, which offers owners a free 40-point safety check and a service package priced at RM150.

Launching the campaign, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said he hopes the offering would ease the burden of owners ahead of the Hari Raya celebration.

“I am pleased for Proton to be the first automotive company to support the government’s initiative, and I hope other brands will follow suit to reduce the cost of living for those who need it most,” Tengku Zafrul said at a Proton service centre in the IOI City Mall here.

The campaign echoed the government’s Rahmah initiative to help reduce the cost of living for lower-income groups, following the successful implementation of the menu Rahmah initiative launched in January 2023.

The 2023 Proton Rahmah Campaign targets owners of models Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga and discontinued models including the Inspira, Waja and Wira.

The campaign is fully funded by Proton, starting today until May 31.

Competing manufacturer Perodua is also launching its own Rahmah service campaign later today.
