IPOH, April 6 — The Perak state government today announced a special Aidilfitri financial aid payment of RM700 for all state civil servants, including staff under the Contract Of Service and Contract For Service schemes.

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said the distribution of the special aid will be made on April 17.

“The special assistance involved an allocation of RM5,631,400 and will benefit 7,892 civil servants in Perak.

“This special aid is to show appreciate for the service and sacrifice of civil servants who have undertaken public service responsibilities,” told a press conference after attending the Program Mesra Hari Bertemu Pelanggan at Stadium Indera Mulia here.

Saarani said the special assistance will also be given to non-trained backup teachers (GSTT), i’dadi teachers, thanawi teachers, Islamic kindergarten teachers, Orang Besar Jajahan and part-time officers.

He added that the aid will also be distributed to former state legislative assembly members at a rate of RM500 per person, as was the case last year.

The state government also announced the distribution of incentives for 492 Perak government retirees for the period of July 2021 to June 2022.

“The incentive represents the state government’s appreciation of the service rendered by the retirees with a total allocation of RM1,792,800.00.

“Through the incentive, a sum of RM4,400 will be given in the form of Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Premium Savings Certificates (SSP) for eligible retirees,” he said.
