PUTRAJAYA, March 29 — The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) and others that were part of the national unity government will be asked to join future secretariat meetings, said Senator Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
The Pakatan Harapan secretary-general said he was aware of Muda’s complaints about being omitted from these, and would ensure it was formally invited in the future.
Saifuddin said PH and Muda were on good terms, but the latter was not yet an official member.
“Our unity government negotiation team then decided that for the upcoming meetings, we will invite Muda and other parties that are not part of the five main coalitions,” he said during a media engagement session today.
“They will be there for secretariat meetings only as the main meetings are for the five coalitions. Muda knows this they signed the document,” he added.
On Muda’s part, it previously said it did not harbour any ill feelings and remained supportive of the current administration despite being left out of the unity government secretariat meetings.
