KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 — The government spent over RM62 million to popularise Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s “Keluarga Malaysia” concept during his approximately 16 months as prime minister, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said today.

The minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions said in a written parliamentary reply that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s administration also spent RM181,752 to promote the “Kerajaan Prihatin” motto during his time in office.

“Only one programme was organised under the Kerajaan Prihatin government rebranding exercise as during the 8th prime minister’s administration, the country was under the movement control order,” Arminian pointed out in the reply.

As for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s “Malaysia Madani” concept, he said RM489,216 was spent as of January 30.

He was replying to Amanah’s Sri Gading MP Aminolhuda Hassn who asked the prime minister to state the total allocations spend for each administration’s rebranding exercises.
