KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — Newly-appointed Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim said local politicians need to move on from the tussle to form the government and focus on crises affecting Malaysians and the country.
Stopping his car to address the media after the swearing-in ceremony at the Istana Negara, Adam noted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s emphasis on finding solutions to the runaway inflation affecting the country now and a possible recession next year.
“Moving forward, there will be a lot of challenges as the prime minister already stated his focus on addressing the cost-of-living issues and among other reforms.
“So, all these political issues, (since) the election has concluded, let’s not drag all these political disputes for too long because it will be detrimental to the people that are trying to work,” he said after leaving in a grey SUV around 5.40pm today.
The Hang Tuah Jaya MP also said that he was looking forward to working with Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh to continue the agenda to uplift the youth in the country.
Earlier today, all 27 deputy ministers were sworn in at Istana Negara to complete the formation of the Anwar national unity government.
