KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 — Tan Sri Annuar Musa is one of the three Umno leaders sacked by the party for indiscipline last night, according to Malaysiakini.

The news portal cited two supreme council members as having confirmed Annuar’s sacking. Annuar was dismissed alongside two of the party’s Wanita division chiefs from Perlis.

Umno had lost the northern state at the 15th general election (GE15) to Perikatan Nasional following a revolt sparked by Tan Sri Shahidan Kassim’s defection.

Shahidan, who cuts a powerful figure in Perlis, was sidelined for the polls under president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s instruction.

Annuar himself had posted a cryptic message on his Facebook page this morning in what was seemingly a reference to his sacking.

He claimed to have dreamt about an attempt to save the house he inherited from burning down. Annuar then said he failed and could only watch the house consumed by fire.

“I love the house. I tried to put off the fire so that we could stop more of its occupants from abandoning our house,” he wrote.

“But as the fire was blazing and many others continued to leave the house, I was suddenly pulled out. And now I can only watch from the outside as the fire burns it down.”

The decision to sack Annuar and the two other Umno leaders were made at last night’s supreme council meeting.

Datuk Puad Zarkashi, among the party’s top leaders who attended the meeting, said Zahid took stern action against members who leaked party information.

The three were accused of insulting the party and campaigning against it in GE15.
