KOTA KINABALU, Nov 14 — Following an announcement from caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, the Sabah state government has also agreed to declaring November 18 and 19 as public holidays.

Chief minister Datuk Hajiji Noor said that the state has agreed to the two days off to make it easier for Sabahans to carry out their civic duties and vote on Saturday.

Polling day is to be held on November 19, Saturday.

Earlier, Ismail Sabri made the national announcement, followed by toll free highways on 30 highway concessionaires on both days to facilitate the big day.

Malaysians will elect 222 members of Parliament on Saturday after a two-week campaign period. Sabahans will elect 25.
