LABUAN, Nov 5 ― The Labuan parliamentary constituency will see a six-cornered contest involving three former allies in Umno and three other new faces.
Incumbent Datuk Rozman Isli who is Labuan Warisan division head is up against Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Bashir Alias and Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman of Perikatan Nasional-Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PN-Bersatu).
The three other candidates are Datuk Dr Ramli Tahir of Pakatan Harapan (PH) who is Labuan Amanah division head, Dayang Rusimah @ Raynie Datuk Mohd Din of Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) who is Labuan PBM division head and Datuk Seri Ramle Mat Daly representing Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang).
The announcement of candidates was made by returning officer Yusup Mohamad as soon as the nomination was completed at 10am today.
Labuan now has 44,484 electors compared to 28,356 in GE14. ― Bernama
