KUCHING, Nov 1 — Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s (PBM) internal conflict will be amicably resolved tomorrow, Datuk Larry Sng, who maintains that he is still its president, said today.

He said he will meet the party’s supreme members in Kuala Lumpur to iron things out.

“I will also be meeting those who have been suspended from the party, including Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin,” he told Malay Mail.

He said the meeting will discuss their suspension and “whatever actions that have been made by me and as president of the party there is no conflict there.”

He said basically there is no dispute on their part that he is still the president of the party, not Zuraida, as confirmed by the director-general of the Registrar of Societies.

“Basically, there is an acceptance and now we are in the process of reconciliation and how to work together to move forward,” said Sng, who is the incumbent Julau MP.

He added that a joint statement will be issued after the meeting with the PBM leaders. He said he will announce the names of PBM candidates after the meeting tomorrow.

On October 29, Sng suspended the membership of Zuraida and 12 others as members of the supreme council in relation to their ongoing involvement in undermining the interest of the party and its leadership.

The 12 included party deputy president Haniza Mohamad Taha and chief of PBM’s women’s wing Dr Daroyah Alwi.

On October 28, Sng suspended the membership of party secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad and information chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid.

They were alleged to be involved in organising a supreme council meeting on October 7, 2022 without Sng’s knowledge or consent.
