JOHOR BARU, Oct 24 — Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has amended the dates of its convocation sessions, which coincide with polling day for the 15th General Election (GE15).
It said in a statement today that Session 1 on November 19 (8am) has been postponed to 8am on November 24, Session 2 on November 20 (8am) to 2pm on November 24 while Session 3 on November 20 (2pm) to 8am on November 25.
However, Session 4 until Session 9 (from November 21 to 23) remain as scheduled, it said.
“This amendment is to allow all UTM citizens, graduands and family members to fulfil their responsibilities as voters”, said the statement.
UTM 66th convocation was initially scheduled to be held from November 19 until 23.
“In line with this amendment, graduands are requested to refer to the official website at www.utm.my/convocation for any updated information,” it added. — Bernama
