IPOH, October 20 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) is considering the policies offered by its electoral pact for the coalition’s manifesto in the 15th general election (GE15), which is scheduled to be held on November 19.
Its president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that negotiations on the policies are currently ongoing with non-component parties.
“Policies and seats negotiation with PH’s component parties have been completed.
“However, seats and policies with our electoral pacts such as Muda, PSM and others are still ongoing.
“That is why we didn’t announce the allocation of seats for them during the convention,” he told a press conference after attending the Pakatan Harapan 2022 Convention at the Ipoh Convention Centre (ICC) here tonight.
When asked if PH’s electoral pact are required to use the PH logo for seats contested in GE15, Anwar said that it would be up to them.
“We have offered the PH logo, but it’s up to them to decide,” he said.
Earlier, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke also announced during the convention that PH parties will use the coalition’s logo for seats contested in the general election.
In 2018, PH component parties had competed using the PKR logo as the coalition had not yet been registered, while DAP had also been at risk of being banned by the Registrar of Societies at the time.
