KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin thanked PAS for agreeing to work with Bersatu for the impending 15th general election (GE15).

He said the decision has made it easier for both parties to start campaigning under their Perikatan Nasional (PN) banner.

“I want to personally express my utmost gratitude to PAS, as well as its leader Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and the PAS leadership for agreeing to strengthen our PN coalition.

“I pray that PN can win the people’s mandate in GE15 so that we may form a government that focuses on the welfare and well-being of the people,” he said in a Facebook post tonight.

On Monday, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said PAS had failed to meet the conditions set for cooperation in GE15, adding that the two parties were now set to clash in 27 seats.

The conditions Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi set were for PAS to sever political ties with Bersatu, exit PN, and announce publicly that it was dissociating itself from the coalition and Bersatu.
