KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Malaysia recorded 5,071 new Covid-19 infections today.
This is an increase of 445 cases from yesterday's log of 4,626 infections.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country now stand at 2,481,339.
“As of 12 noon today, 5,372 patients recovered,” he said.
On new infection clusters, five were detected respectively in Kuala Lumpur (one), Selangor (one) and Pahang (three) today, while 5,377 clusters have ended.
The clusters were detected at work places, education sector and communities.
“There are 404 active clusters,” said Dr Noor Hisham.
From the new infections reported today, 121 are from Categories 3 and 4 while 4,950 are from Categories 1 and 2.
