PETALING JAYA, April 23 — The authorities need to be more vocal about their investigations into electoral offences since nothing has been said since they were first reported, said Bersih 2.0 chairman Thomas Fann.

He said of the seven by-elections, which have taken place since the 14th general election in May 9 last year, over 1,000 electoral offences were recorded by Bersih.

“As far as we can tell, no action has been taken since that time. But we do not know if the police have already begun their investigations, and whether they have forwarded the papers to the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC),” Fann said during a press conference on their election observation report for the Rantau by-election earlier this month.
