GEORGE TOWN, Sept 29 ― Another motorcycle parts company and its three directors were slapped with 18 charges for failing to submit their tax statements under the Goods and Service Tax Act 2014 at the Sessions Court here this morning.

The Bukit Mertajam company and its directors were charged with not declaring its GST returns for nine months last year.

Razortech Enterprise Sdn Bhd was charged with committing nine counts of not submitting its GST statements  between April and December 2015.

The company's directors Teoh Chin Ching, 65, Teoh Wee Let, 37, and Teoh Evon, 35, were also jointly charged with nine counts of the similar offense.

They are charged under Section 41 (1) and 41(6) of the Goods and Services Tax Act 2014 for failure to furnish the returns as required.

The section carries with it a maximum fine of RM50,000 or three years’ jail term or both upon conviction.

All of them, represented by S.N Rajan, claimed trial to the charges.

Two of the directors, Chin Ching and Wee Let, and another company, Faito Racing Trend Sdn Bhd, were charged with 16 counts of a similar offence yesterday.

Rajan asked the court to fix the date for mention of the case to coincide with the Faito Racing's case.

Sessions Court judge Irwan Suainbon allowed the request and fixed November 17 for mention of the case.
